Ziege to return

Christian Ziege is set to return to training at Tottenham next week as he launches another bid to recover from injury.

The German international needed a second operation this summer after further problems with the thigh injury that almost cost him his career last season.

Ziege said: "I'm fine. It's been five weeks since the second operation. For two weeks I couldn't do anything, but now I hope it stays like it is. It's fantastic."

Meanwhile, Gus Poyet wants to return to action against his former club Chelsea next weekend after being out since breaking his wrist against Sporting Lisbon in a pre-season friendly.

He said: "I hope to train next week and then it will be the manager's decision."
