Wise sent home by Foxes

13 April 2012

Leicester manager Micky Adams has sent Dennis Wise home from the club's Finland training camp after "a breach of club discipline".

The Foxes, relegated from the Premiership last season, travelled to Finland earlier this week as part of their preparations for the new season.

But now it is unlikely Wise will now not figure in the rest of the tour after returning to England.

Adams said: "Dennis has been sent home following an apparent breach of club discipline.

"Leicester City is conducting its own internal investigation into the incident to ascertain the full facts."

The former England international, who joined the Foxes from Chelsea in June 2001, made 17 appearances for the club last season in an injury-plagued campaign.

Adams' side kicked-off the pre-season tour with a 4-1 victory against Finnish team Kings last night and will now continue their intensive training regime ahead of their final game of the tour against JJK on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Foxes midfielder Lee Marshall has decided to stay at the club after failing to agree terms with West Brom. The two clubs had agreed a fee for the 23-year-old believed to be around £1million for the services of the former England Under-21 man.

Director of football Dave Bassett told the club's official website, www.lcfc.co.uk: "It looks as though Lee Marshall has been unable to agree terms with West Brom.

"He is currently back in training and will be included in the reserve squad to take on Rothwell tomorrow."
