Van Bommel eyes Spurs

Mark van Bommel: would like a move to Spurs
14 April 2012

PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mark van Bommel has admitted he would relish a summer move to Tottenham, according to reports in Holland.

The Holland international has been linked with a move away from the Philips Stadion for several months with Spurs thought to be leading the chase.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims the London club have already been in touch with PSV and the player's agent Rob Jansen in a bid to get first option on the 26-year-old.

And Van Bommel himself seems eager on a switch to White Hart Lane.

He said: "It's a fine club with a beautiful stadium and a good squad. I have played at White Hart Lane with the Dutch national team and with PSV."

Van Bommel has a contract at PSV which runs until the end of next season although the club have already indicated they would be happy to offer fresh terms.
