Tom Watson cherishes magical memories

Tom Watson had no regrets about a two-week visit to Britain in which he finished runner-up in The Open at Turnberry and tied for eighth in the Senior Open at Sunningdale.

The 59-year-old American said: "It was magical for a while. It was a special moment in my life that I'll cherish and take with me."

Compatriot Loren Roberts won the Senior Open, beating Fred Funk, also of the United States, and Ireland's Mark McNulty in a play-off after all three finished 12 under par.
