Cook has new evidence

Aaron Cook’s representatives claim they have new evidence as they continue their battle to get the world’s No1 taekwondo fighter on the GB Olympic team.

They have written to the British Olympic Association asking them again to overturn GB Taekwondo’s nomination of Lutalo Muhammad ahead of Cook for the 80kg section.

Cook’s manager Jamie Cunningham said evidence from taekwondo news website, Mastaekwondo.com, suggests the decision to omit his client, who quit the GB programme last year, was pre-determined.

But in a statement GB Taekwondo said: “This is simply untrue and malicious. We are seeking more information on the very serious and damaging allegations made and will comment further in due course.”
