Sheene rides into new fame

Former 500cc world champions Barry Sheene and Wayne Gardner will be inducted into the Motorcycling Hall of Fame at the Australian Grand Prix on Saturday.

Australian Gardner and Briton Sheene will join Australian Michael Doohan, Italian Giacomo Agostini, Americans Wayne Rainey, Kenny Roberts Snr and Kevin Schwantz, the late British rider Mike Hailwood and Spaniard Angel Nieto in the Hall of Fame.
