Scolari's Bridge concerns

13 April 2012

Luiz Felipe Scolari today admitted Chelsea's form at Stamford Bridge has become a major problem and believes it has to improve if they are to maintain their title challenge.

Chelsea lost at home in the League for the first time in 87 games to rivals Liverpool last Sunday with Scolari's side hardly creating a chance, and have recently drawn against both Tottenham and Manchester United.

It is a stark contrast to their away record in the Premier League having won all five matches and scoring 14 goals in the process. Chelsea host Sunderland tomorrow and Scolari has urged his players to step up their game. He said: "We have 23 points in total so far and we have played for 15 points away from home this season and have won 15.

"Our problem is Stamford Bridge. We need more quality when we shoot and need to create more opportunities when we are at home.

"Sometimes it's more easy for us to play away because when our opponents are at home they try to play more and give us more space."
