Eddie Jones’ plans to revive England are being undermined by a long injury list.

Lock Joe Launchbury, second-row George Kruis (both concussion), wing Jack Nowell (knee) and No8 Ben Morgan (shoulder) are all major worries following the weekend action.

Jones is already without locks Dave Attwood and Ed Slater, prop Kieran Brookes, wing Jonny May, centre Henry Slade and back-row Dave Ewers for all, or part, of the Six Nations which kicks off against Scotland on February 6.

Hooker Dylan Hartley, favourite to be the new captain, is troubled by a rib problem while Manu Tuilagi is a long way from being fit for Test rugby.

Wasps’ Dai Young said: “It could take one or six weeks [for Launchbury to be fit] — it’s impossible to say.”
