Robert Kubica poised to complete Renault move

Options: Robert Kubica has been looking for a new team since BMW’s decision to quit F1
13 April 2012

Robert Kubica's move from BMW Sauber to Renault is expected to be confirmed today.

The 24-year-old Pole replaces Fernando Alonso, who is leaving Renault to drive for Ferrari.

Kubica had been looking for a new team since BMW announced they are quitting Formula One at the end of the season. Toyota wanted to sign him but he has chosen the outfit with whom he first tested in 2005.

His team-mate is expected to be Frenchman Romain Grosjean, Alonso's present No2, or Heikki Kovalainen, who is set to be replaced at McLaren by fellow Finn Kimi Raikkonen.
