Ramos: Bentley will flourish at Spurs under my guidance

The England winger impressed Ramos with his performances for Blackburn last season, and the Spaniard believes Bentley can flourish at White Hart Lane.

'He had a magnificent season, a great season,' Ramos said. 'And he has the qualities to do well at this club.'

Bentley too was purring at the pairing, remarking: 'This is a great environment to work in. Juande Ramos has been there and done it and I have great respect for him.

'I have seen what he has done with the other players. I talked to the lads before I came here and they said he's great. It's hard work, but that's what I want.

'I want to work hard and enjoy myself and Juande can develop my game and push me on to the next level,' Bentley told Spurs' official website.

The England international was unveiled at Spurs on Thursday, and travelled with his new team-mates to Holland for the Feyenoord Jubileum Tournament, and is expected to make his debut against either Celtic or Borussia Dortmund.
