Ralf set for spell on sidelines

Ralf Schumacher is likely to be out of formula one for three months after tests revealed he suffered two spinal fractures in his crash during the US Grand Prix.

Doctors at the clinic in the German spa town of Bad Nauheim, where Schumacher is being treated, believe he will need eight to 12 weeks to recover.

The Williams driver ploughed into a concrete wall at Indianapolis 10 days ago. Apart from his back injury, he was also concussed and later said he could remember nothing of the accident.
