As goal celebrations go this is unusual for any sport.

Ice hockey fans in Canada celebrated a goal by hurling 26,000 teddy bears onto the ice in the Western Hockey League game between Calgary Hitmen and Medicine Hat Tigers.

The goal from Pavel Padakin came in the 19th annual Teddy Bear Toss Game between the two sides and sparked the quirky celebrations

Eevry year, Hitmen fans bring stuffed animals to the game to throw onto the ice when the Hitmen score their first goal.

The toys are then donated to local charities.

This is the second year running that Padakin scored the teddy bear goal.

The commentator at the game announced: "Back-to-back years, Mr. Teddy bear, Pavel Padakin. One nothing Calgary. He is doing snow angels in all the bears...That may be the best celebration I have ever seen in all my years of calling teddy bear tosses in the Western Hockey League."
