Andy Murray will need to be at his best to successfully defend his AEGON Championships title at Queen's Club in the face of some stiff competition.

Murray, who last year became the first British player since Bunny Austin in 1938 to win the title, joins a field which contains seven of the world's current top 10.

Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Juan Martin Del Potro, Murray, Andy Roddick, Fernando Verdasco and Jo Wilfried Tsonga have all entered the tournament from June 7-13, along with current world number 11 Marin Cilic.

"If I play my best I've got a chance of successfully defending the title and doing well at Wimbledon," Murray said.

"I know it won't be easy because they are going to have a strong field this year at Queen's, and Wimbledon always has the best players in the world.

"It's a great time of the year, though, and I'm really looking forward to it."

Murray won the title last year without dropping a set, beating American James Blake in the final, and reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon before losing to Roddick.

"Last year at Queen's I played some really good tennis to win the tournament," the 22-year-old Scot added.

"The attendance every year is unbelievable and last year the final was packed out and it was a great atmosphere."
