Moyes tribute to hero Saha

13 April 2012

Everton boss David Moyes believes goal hero Louis Saha will continue to have a major impact on his side's bid for FA Cup glory.

Saha, who has been struggling with a hamstring problem, came on for the second half against Middlesbrough in yesterday's quarter-final. It was only his fourth appearance since November.

Everton were behind until Saha's introduction turned the tide. In a six-minute spell, Marouane Fellaini equalised and Saha headed the winner. Now the 30-year-old is set to face his former club Manchester United in the semi-final at Wembley over the weekend of April 18/19.

Moyes said: "I did not expect Louis to last that long. I felt he was only ready for about 30 minutes but he played the whole second half and was excellent.

"We will take it carefully, it will be up to Louis when he feels he can last a full match."
