Morrell: We'll give Seagulls a test

Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell is convinced his side will provide Brighton with another stern test after forcing an FA Cup replay with a 1-1 draw at the Amex Stadium.

Morrell believes his Blue Square Bet Premier Division leaders will relish home advantage, and feels their chances of springing an upset will be enhanced owing to the state of the pitch at the Racecourse Ground.

He said: "Our pitch will be difficult and given a bit more rain it could prove quite a test. We will try out best and hope to get the win. Getting a draw at Brighton was a really good result for us, and I'm delighted with the amount of effort the lads put in."

Morrell added: "I am happy with the result as it was probably a fair one, but we might have won it at the end when Jamie Tolley had a tremendous shot saved.

"It was a bit of a kick up the backside when we fell behind but the way we reacted was superb."

Brighton ended the match with six players from their development squad on the pitch and boss Gus Poyet admitted he may field another much-changed side depending on who the opposition is in the next round.

He said: "It depends on the draw as to what team I play.

"I've had a couple of difficult days as I had to decide to play the whole reserve team or field the best available team.

"There has been a lot of talk about respecting the FA Cup and we didn't want to be on the wrong side of that.

"Our injury list and players missing through suspension is into double figures so it hasn't been easy, but I was very pleased with the way the youngsters stepped up and played."
