Minton joins Orient transfer list

13 April 2012

Leyton Orient's Jeff Minton has become the fourth player - with Matt Lockwood, Chris Tate and Iyseden Christie - to be put on the transfer list at Brisbane Road after contract talks broke down.

Minton was offered a deal by manager Paul Brush and chairman Barry Hearn at the beginning of the year but they could not come to an agreement.

Brush said: "Jeff 's demands exceeded the outstanding two-year package that we made to him at the beginning of 2002 and his details have been circulated to other clubs.

"It is not an ideal situation because both Jeff and Matthew are able to walk away from the club at the end of the season and we know they have agents working to make clubs aware of their situation."

Lockwood was transfer-listed two weeks ago and has since had trials with Peterborough and Sheffield Wednesday.
