Maradona next up at Anfield goldfish bowl

As if there wasn't enough hooplah at Anfield already, midfielder Javier Mascherano plans to stir the pot even further by inviting his hero, Diego Maradona, to a match there.

Maradona has been lavish in his praise of Mascherano, and the Liverpool player wants to return the compliment by welcoming Maradona to the north-west.

'He is like a god to me and I know my team-mates would all be very pleased, they all want to meet him,' said Mascherano.
