Mats Hummels would only consider moving to a club with a bigger reputation than Borussia Dortmund if he liked their style of play.

The World Cup-winning defender has been linked with a move to Manchester United in previous season, as well as Barcelona and Real Madrid.

United have struggled defensively this season, partly down to a hefty injury list, and many see Hummels as an ideal target for the Premier League club.

But Hummels, 25, has declared himself happy in Dortmund, saying last week that he would not be tempted away by a big-money move.

The centre-back has now added that he would only consider a transfer to a club with a playing style that suits him.

“If a club with a bigger reputation than Dortmund were to make a move, but I don’t like the way they play football, I wouldn’t even consider a move,” he is quoted as saying by Kicker.

“At Dortmund, the style of play is exactly like I want to play football.”
