Logan set to quit Wasps

Kenny Logan confirmed today he will leave London Wasps when his contract runs out this summer and seek a move back to Scotland.

Logan, 32 tomorrow, joined Wasps from Stirling County seven seasons ago. The Scotland wing scored five tries on debut against Orrell and has featured strongly in many of the club's successes.

Now, having retired from international rugby with 70 caps, he is planning a testimonial for next year and believes a move back to Scotland to play out the remainder of his career with either Edinburgh, the Borders or Glasgow will aid those plans.

Logan, who has been left out of Sunday's Premiership clash against Northampton, said today: "I've told the club that I'm waiting to see if I get a couple of offers from the Scottish regional clubs. If something does come through then I'm considering leaving Wasps at the end of the season. Perhaps I will be in a position to make a decision by Easter."

Wasps will be boosted by the return of England trio Lawrence Dallaglio, Josh Lewsey and Joe Worsley at High Wycombe this weekend.

Meanwhile, ambitions to play in next season's Heineken Cup will ensure a fierce encounter between London Irish and Harlequins at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday. Both clubs are caught up in the middle-of-the-table dogfight for places in Europe.

Pat Sanderson, Simon Miall and Jon Dawson return to the Quins pack, Will Greenwood and George Harder will boost the backs, while Paul Burke hopes to pass a fitness test tomorrow.
