Lazio show fighting spirit

13 April 2012

Lazio coach Roberto Mancini paid tribute to his team's fighting spirit after they came from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Sparta Prague in Rome.

Libor Sionko stole between defenders Jaap Stam and Sinisa Mihajlovic to put Sparta ahead in the 27th minute and less than 10 minutes later former Lazio midfielder Karel Poborsky added a second.

Mancini said: "When you let in two goals in a short space of time it takes the wind out of your sails, but I'm happy with the way my players reacted."

Simone Inzaghi led Lazio's fightback, scoring in the 46th minute. He equalised 14 minutes later from the penalty spot to keep Lazio on top of Group G.
