Kiwis too strong for PNG

New Zealand recorded a morale-boosting 48-6 triumph over Papua New Guinea in their World Cup encounter at Skilled Park on Saturday.

Following their 30-6 defeat to Australia last weekend, the Kiwis bounced back with a comprehensive nine-tries-to-one success.

The crushing victory may have come at some cost though, with Benji Marshall forced to watch the second half from the sidelines with a tight hamstring.
