'Jonny factor' sends Twickers tickets to £600

14 April 2012

The level of interest in tomorrow's clash with Scotland at Twickenham is so high that black market touts are selling tickets for £600 each.

Wilkinson's recall for the first time since he kicked the World Cup winning drop goal against Australia in 2003 has lifted spirits after the dismal autumn international series.

The fly-half's inclusion has already resulted in an extra £600,000 of tickets being sold for the low-key clash with Italy next Saturday.

There will be gate receipts of more than £4m tomorrow.

The RFU's Paul Vaughan admitted: "The Jonny Wilkinson factor has helped enormously."
