Jenson Button could lose McLaren option

Weaker position: Jenson Button’s alternative are getting slimmer

Jenson Button may have to settle for a cut-price pay deal at Brawn GP after it was revealed Kimi Raikkonen is close to joining McLaren.

The former Ferarri driver's representative, Steve Robertson, met McLaren principal Martin Whitmarsh at the team's HQ this week.

Button had been linked with McLaren but is now likely to have to accept the £6million offer from Brawn, £2m short of his demands.
