Inzy left out

12 April 2012

The future of former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq looks uncertain after he failed to make a 20-man squad for a training camp later this month.

Inzamam, who announced his retirement from the one-day international arena after Pakistan's departure from the World Cup, was still keen to be part of the Test team but has missed the cut.

There was, however, a recall for Shoaib Akhtar, who was dropped from the Afro-Asia Cup squad due to injury concerns.

The 20 probables, announced by the national selectors, will start the camp on June 10 in Abbotabad, while two similar camps in Quetta and Karachi are also scheduled.

Spinner Abdur Rehman was dropped, while Younus Khan and Danish Kaneria have both been excluded due to their English county cricket commitments with Yorkshire and Essex respectively.

The camps will last until June 25 after which the team head to Scotland for a match against the hosts and India.
