Holloway to 'cheer not jeer'

Ian Holloway is using his experience as a parent to help his team.

The QPR manager views his players like his children and wants fans to encourage rather than criticise their efforts.

Rangers can return to the top two by beating Oldham tomorrow and Holloway wants a positive atmosphere at Loftus Road.

He said: "I'm the father of four. If I'm negative to my kids I drag their confidence down and it's the same with players.

"The people who are shouting at players should be told to shut up."
