Holloway eyes trip to Cardiff

Ian Holloway made no secret of his desire to win the LDV Vans Trophy after watching his side progress to the Southern semi-final.

Tony Thorpe and Steve Palmer gave Rangers a 2-1 home win over Brighton and the manager has his eyes on another trip to Cardiff.

He said: "We have a real sniff and I can tell everyone we're gunning for it. It was very important that we won and we deserved to.

"I can't fault the players for their effort and discipline. There's a lot we can improve on but we'll be doing it now with another win on the board."
