Henman enjoys good night in Vienna

14 April 2012

Tim Henman was still buzzing today after his 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 win over fourth seed Sjeng Schalken in the second round of the CA Trophy in Vienna.

Henman, who next faces either Jonas Bjorkman, of Sweden, or Spaniard Albert Costa, said: "To beat Sjeng is a really good win. I played two really good sets. The middle one wasn't too good.

"I tried to over press in the second set, where unfortunately I made a few unforced errors. But I was serving really well in the first and third sets.

"I'm really pleased with my overall performance. It's a good boost for my confidence and is definitely a step in the right direction."

The British No1 holds a 4-1 head-tohead record over Schalken, although the Dutchman is 14th in the world rankings, 26 places higher than Henman.
