Hawk-eye fit for Queen's

Roddick: Big fan of electronic review system
14 April 2012

The electronic line-calling system "Hawk-Eye" will be used at an ATP event in the United Kingdom for the first time at the Artois Championships at Queen's Club in June.

Giant screens will be installed at opposite ends of the centre court showing replays of calls challenged by players.

Three-time winner Andy Roddick has said of the system: "I think it's great, I've always been one of its biggest supporters.

"I like everything about it. I think it's great for the fans, it adds another dimension to watching it on TV and it takes some of the heat off the umpires a little bit; takes human error out of it.

"It's better for me personally because it means that I spend less time whining about line calls."

Roddick, defending champion Lleyton Hewitt, Britain's top two Andy Murray and Tim Henman and world number two Rafael Nadal are already confirmed entries for the pre-Wimbledon tournament from June 11-17.

After 28 years as the Stella Artois Championships, the event is being renamed this summer.

Meanwhile, the centre court capacity is being increased by more than 400 to 6,858 and all additional seats will be made available to the general public.
