Zinedine Zidane beats Chelsea's Antonio Conte to Fifa Best Coach award after historic Real Madrid season

Zinedine Zidane has beaten Chelsea's Antonio Conte to Fifa's Best Coach award after a historic season with Real Madrid.

Los Blancos became the first team to retain the Champions League as Zidane made it made it two wins from two attempts in Europe's most prestigious competition.

Zidane completed a double with Real's first Liga title in five years and has since added the Spanish Super Cup, winning 5-1 over Barcelona and Uefa Super Cup, beating Manchester United.

Conte won the Premier League in record-breaking fashion as Chelsea became the first team to win 30 games in a 38-game Premier League season.

The Blues also reached the FA Cup final but were beaten by Arsenal.

Massimiliano Allegri was the third finalist having guided Juventus to a sixth Serie A crown on the trot and third league-and-Coppa double, a historic 'three-peat' after wins in 2016 and 2015.

Allgeri also reached his second Champions League final in three years but was beaten by Zidane's Madrid two years after losing out to Barcelona.
