New Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is ready to add to his squad at Stamford Bridge with the recruitment of Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia.
The 19-year-old Santos star is currently representing his nation Brazil at the Rio Olympic Games, but Standard Sport understands that Chelsea are ready to pay £15million to sign the defensive midfielder this summer.
It is understood that the Blues will table an official offer for Thiago Maia once the Olympics are over, although Chelsea will face competition for the player from French side Paris Saint-Germain.
Blues boss Antonio Conte has already overseen the acquisitions of midfielder N'Golo Kante and striker Michy Batshuayi, but wants to continue adding depth to his team as the Italian prepares to try and haul Chelsea back into contention for the Premier League title next season.
