The Premier League season is winding down once again and Chelsea look set to seal the crown, while the relegation battle is heating up with just four games to play.

The bottom seven will still be nervously looking over their shoulder, but elsewhere attention has already turned to next year. Managers will be plotting their transfer targets already and - as Jose Mourinho proved with his business last summer - getting players over the line before the late dash can pay dividends.

Mourinho will again be busy as he weighs up moves for Paul Pogba. Raphael Varane and Koke - though transfer bans for Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid could scupper those bids - while Tottenham are hoping to work out a deal for Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin. Arsenal were interested in the Frenchman last year and could revive their interest but their focus will also be on retaining Theo Walcott.

Former Gunner Thierry Henry said: "They [Arsenal] need a goalkeeper, they still need a centre-back, they still need a holding midfielder and, I’m afraid, they need a top, top-quality striker in order to win this league again."

Meanwhile, only a monumental collapse will prevent Manchester United returning to the Champions League following a one-year absence, so you can expect Louis van Gaal to throw money at big signings again this summer.

...Though Radamel Falcao and Danny Welbeck's respective moves were confirmed in the early hours of the following morning last year. As long as the Premier League receive the official documents ahead of deadline, the saga can continue long into the morning.
