West Ham's Adrian believes it has been "the season of the goalkeeper" in the Premier League.

While the defences on show in England's top tier have contributed to what has been an unpredictable campaign, many of the men between the sticks have shone.

Although the man commonly regarded to as the world's best - Manuel Neuer - plies his trade in Germany, these shores are still packed with goalkeeping talent.

Adrian is yet to receive international recognition from Spain, but he is among them.

The 29-year-old has kept five clean sheets in 19 top-flight appearances this term to help Slaven Bilic's side climb to sixth place in the table.

His individual performances may have earned widespread praise but the Spanish shot-stopper is not interested in resting on his laurels.

Instead he has told The Times that he is constantly looking at ways he can develop into a better player and described the traits he admires in his rivals.

From Petr Cech's experience to Joe Hart's ability in one-on-one situations, Adrian has highlighted how he can learn from his peers to propel his own displays to new heights.
