West Ham see no cause for concern in the news that Andy Carroll has bought a new home in the North East.

Carroll, born in Gateshead, and fiancée Billi Muclow have purchased a house to be near to Carroll’s two children from a previous relationship and the West Ham striker spent time in the home after Saturday’s 3-1 win at Middlesbrough.

The 28-year-old has been regularly linked with a return to Newcastle ever since they sold the boyhood fan to Liverpool for £35million.

However Carroll is settled both on and off the field at West Ham and is enjoying one of his best runs of form since joining the club, following up his spectacular bicycle kick against Crystal Palace with a match-winning brace at the Riverside.

Carroll has now featured in West Ham’s last eight games, a rare run of unbroken appearances for the injury-plagued striker, and whilst his fitness will be closely monitored in the coming weeks the club are confident he has settled into a regular routine on the training field.
