Ambitious: Aaron Ramsey wants more silverware this season

Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, who was last seen firing the Gunners to FA Cup glory in May, has spoken of his and the club’s determination to build on last season's Wembley success.

The 23-year-old took part in a question and answer session on the Twitter channel of club sponsor Emirates airline this afternoon, and said: "I think now that we've won the FA Cup, this team has become hungrier to win things.

“I'm sure we'll give it a good go. I am looking forward to just getting back into it and playing every week.

"Hopefully we can have a successful year and win a few things."

Ramsey was one of several players not on World Cup duty to return for the start of pre-season training at London Colney this week, and he could be joined by Alexis Sanchez in the coming days if the transfer goes through as anticipated.

The Gunners are also expected to confirm the signing of Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle for a fee of around £10m this week.
