Watford have announced the signing of Sunderland goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon.
The 28-year-old ha signed a three-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road to become the club's second signing in two days following the arrival of Nordin Amrabat from Malaga.
Pantilimon has made 17 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats this season and will compete with Heurelho Gomes for a place between the sticks in Quique Sanchez Flores' side.
The 6ft 8in shot stopper spent three years at Manchester City earlier in his career but failed to dislodge Joe Hart as first choice and moved to the Stadium of Light in 2011 after failing to secure regular game time.
Watford suffered their fourth consecutive league defeat on Monday night and currently lie in 12th place in the table.
The newly-promoted club have kept eight clean sheets in their 22 top-flight fixtures this term.
Watford were one of the most active Premier League sides in last summer's transfer window - bringing in 16 new faces - and have proven they are willing to bolster their squad further as they look to avoid relegation.
