Our pick of the rumours in the January transfer window.

Juve frustrate Moyes

Juventus have told David Moyes they do not want to sell Paul Pogba. Moyes was in Turin on Sunday for talks over the midfielder who left Manchester United as a free agent 18 months ago but is now worth £40million. The United boss also asked about Arturo Vidal but was told the Chile midfielder would not be available until the summer. (Daily Mail)

Taylor is too expensive

Crystal Palace's move for Newcastle centre-half Steven Taylor has collapsed over wages. Manager Tony Pulis is operating with one of the lowest budgets in the top flight. A £3m deal for Blackburn defender Scott Dann is in the balance. (The Daily Telegraph).

Kenwyne’s escape route

Everton are interested in signing unsettled Stoke striker Kenwyne Jones for £1m. The striker has reportedly been fined two weeks’ wages — £60,000 — after failing to turn up for Sunday’s game against Liverpool. (Various)

Tiago sees quick exit

Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori is in talks over a loan move to Granada. Ilori has not featured since his £7m summer move from Sporting Lisbon. (Daily Mail)

Lambert looks to Holt
