Jose Mourinho says he ‘still lives with the emotions’ of the defeat to West Brom that handed rivals Manchester City the Premier League title.
The Manchester United boss made the remark after Wednesday night’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, a result that saw them open a four-point gap over Liverpool to consolidate their position in second place.
The win, and in particular the performances from Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, offered a timely return to form ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham, yet Mourinho – facially at least – cut a different figure on the bench.
After the match, he admitted that he is still haunted by that costly defeat at Old Trafford.
"My face is still the face of last Sunday and not the face of somebody who just finished a game and a win," Mourinho told reporters.

"I still live with the emotions of last Sunday.
"I know why you win, I know why you don't win. Okay, no doubts about City's quality, and that in any circumstances they would win this title because they are the better (team)."
