Tottenham stars Harry Kane and Eric Dier both injured vs Sunderland

Mauricio Pochettino's injury worries deepened on Sunday as he was forced to replace Tottenham star duo Harry Kane and Eric Dier against Sunderland.

Spurs went 1-0 ahead through Kane in the Premier League clash at White Hart Lane just before the hour, but Dier then appeared to damage his hamstring as he chased a loose ball after losing control.

Kane then landed awkwardly on his ankle in the closing minutes and needed treatment before limping off the pitch, with the striker having to be stretchered away in front of the White Hart Lane crowd after further treatment on the sidelines.

Regular left-back Danny Rose was already missing through injury, while Moussa Dembele - back from a six-game ban following last season's battle against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - also appeared to pick up a problem on his first Premier League start of the season before being replaced midway through the second half.
