Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has praised Heung-min Son after the forward extended his goalscoring run in tonight's 1-0 victory over CSKA Moscow.
Son came close to leaving Spurs in the summer before eventually deciding to stay put and has started the campaign in blistering form.
The South Korean has scored five goals for the north Londoners and Pochettino is delighted Son has become such a key member of his side.
"Son is on fire! I am very pleased with him and his goals help the team a lot," he told the club's official website.
Son's form has arrived at a key time for Spurs, as his goals have helped to ease the loss of Harry Kane, who is set for an extended spell on the sidelines with an ankle injury.
Tottenham's victory in Moscow has significantly improved the outlook in Group E for Pochettino's side.
Monaco drew with Bayer Leverkusen, which means Spurs now occupy second place, and the Argentine coach is adamant his team deserved to take all three points from their arduous trip to Russia.
"The game was tough but we deserved it. We are in the race for the next round," he added.
Spurs face Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley in their next Champions League group game but must now turn their attention back to domestic action as they welcome Manchester City to White Hart Lane this weekend aiming to end Pep Guardiola's unbeaten record.
