A first-half brace from Aleksandar Mitrovic helped Fulham to a 2-1 win over Swansea City as they battle for a promotion spot.

The Cottagers came into the match in fine form on the back of three consecutive wins in the Championship, with Scott Parker's men eyeing promotion back to the Premier League.

And they got off to the perfect start in the 22nd minute when Mitrovic broke the deadlock.

The Serbian reacted first after Aboubakar Kamara's effort cannoned back off the crossbar and headed beyond goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.

Mitrovic added his second of the night after some poor defending from the Welsh side, coolly firing into the top corner from close range to make it seven goals in six games.

Swansea began their fightback in the second half and clawed a goal back when George Byers headed home from Barrie McKay's cross.

But despite coming under heavy pressure in the final moment, the west London side held on to clinch a fourth straight win and move within four points of leaders West Brom.
