Crystal Palace are through to the FA Cup fifth round after beating Southampton in an action-packed game at St Mary’s.

Yayo Sanogo scored his first Palace goal and Marouane Chamakh was on target twice as the Eagles twice came from behind.

All five goals were scored in an enthralling first half.

Graziano Pelle put Southampton ahead on nine minutes but Palace levelled two minutes later when Sanogo's shot was parried by Fraser Forster and Chamakh, back after six weeks out injured, was on hand to finish from close range.

Southampton regained the lead after 17 minutes as Ryan Bertrand's cross was diverted into his own net by Scott Dann.

Again Palace responded to level within two minutes. This time, Wilfried Zaha playing in Sanogo for the on-loan Arsenal forward to finish well.

Palace took the lead on 39 minutes when Chamakh took down a diagonal ball form Joel Ward before rounding Forster and tapping home.

Alan Pardew’s side held on in the second half to book a place in Monday’s draw for the next round.
