Romelu Lukaku’s agent has suggested that the Everton striker may be set for a move this summer to one of “Europe’s best teams”.
The Everton striker has been in explosive form throughout this season, scoring 25 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions for Roberto Martinez’s struggling side, including both in a 2-0 FA Cup quarter final victory over his former side Chelsea.
Recent weeks have seen Lukaku linked with the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich whilst his father claimed that a surprise return to Stamford Bridge was also a possibility.
Arsene Wenger also expressed an admiration for the forward, who he scouted when the 22-year-old was at Anderlecht, that Lukaku reciprocated last October when he said he would be keen to play for the Arsenal manager.
Lukaku is likely to be the subject of several transfer enquiries during the window and his representative Mino Raiola did nothing to dissuade any interested parties.
“He’ll keep getting stronger,” agent Mino Raiola told DH.
“Everything depends on his work and on luck. He’s already ready to play in Europe’s best teams.
“I’m not surprised by his performances. He has a heart of gold, which is very important in football, and has a lot of talent.”
Lukaku did little to dispel rumours of an impending departure whilst on international duty, saying that he only hoped any exit from Everton would be cordial.
“Champions League football is really the next step [for me],” he said.
“If something happens, it will be for the good of the club. I don't want to leave in a fight, if it happens. I won't say this or that. It is going to be good for me personally and for the club.”
