Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has spoken of his excitement at playing alongside some of the club's new recruits including Colombian forward Radamel Falcao.

The 31 year-old Netherlands star is looking forward to joining up with his new club teammates after United spent more than £150m this summer in an unprecedented spending spree.

Angel di Maria joined the club for a British transfer record fee of £59.7m, while the Red Devils also recruited Falcao, Luke Shaw, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind.

"I can't wait to go and train and play with the world-class players we have signed – wow," Van Persie told reporters, ahead of tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier against the Czech Republic.

"That feeling, that we are going to perform well has only got stronger after the buying of players over the last weeks. I find it very exciting, the arrival of all those new players.
