Tottenham are expected to face competition from Real Madrid in their bid to bring Mauricio Pochettino back to the club.

Spurs are stepping up their search for a new manager now the season is over and Pochettino, who is currently in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, has emerged as a strong contender.

Tottenham, however, are likely to face competition from Real Madrid as, according to multiple reports in Spain, they too are keen on hiring Pochettino.

The Spanish giants are also in the market for a new manager after Zinedine Zidane resigned yesterday.

Real Madrid are long-term admirers of Pochettino, who still has one year to run on his contract at PSG.

The managerial market has sprung into life since the season finished, with former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte another high-profile name looking for a job.

The Italian has walked away from Inter Milan, just three weeks after leading the club to a first Serie A title in 11 years.

Conte, who won the Premier League during his time with Chelsea, is likely to attract plenty of interest - including from Tottenham and Real Madrid.

Juventus, meanwhile, are expected to keep the managerial merry-go-round spinning after sacking Andrea Pirlo ahead of rehiring Massimiliano Allegri.
