Rafael Benitez's reign at Chelsea appears to be going from bad to worse after reports of a training ground bust-up emerged.

The 'interim' manager clashed with players yesterday following the 2-0 defeat at Manchester City on Sunday, with some stars questioning the Spaniard's credentials.

One senior player suggested Benitez may be at fault for the club's slump, saying: "We won the European Cup with this team," the Daily Mail reports.

The short exchange took place at the club's Cobham training ground and heaps further pressure on Benitez ahead of tomorrow night's FA Cup fifth-round tie at Middlesbrough.
