Paul Pogba to Manchester United: Juventus star tells fans he's staying in Turin next season

Paul Pogba has seemingly quashed the idea he could be about to complete a transfer to Manchester United after telling a fan he will remain at Juventus next season.

The France international has been spending his time off following his exploits at Euro 2016 in the US, and was asked about his future in Turin by fans from the IFTV channel outside his hotel this week.

Pogba has seen himself heavily linked with a world-record £100million return to United - the club he left for Juventus in 2012 after growing frustrated at his lack of game time at Old Trafford.

His agent Mino Raiola has twice denied that a deal has already been agreed between United and Juve and, in what will be a blow to the Red Devils, Pogba has now told fans he will stay in Turin next term.

When asked whether he would remain at the Serie A side, Pogba said: "Yeah."

United manager Jose Mourinho has already signed defender Eric Bailly, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and recently revealed he is targeting one more player ahead of the new Premier League season.

Speaking about the constant speculation surrounding Pogba, the Portuguese said: "I am not going to try to make you naive and believe that we are not trying for one player.

"But we know first of all that the player belongs to another club, which is not a small club. It is also a big club, a club with economical power to fight for their best players, to try and keep their best players."
