Jurgen Klopp opted to keep his counsel today when asked about whether he was on the brink of becoming Liverpool's new manager.

The 48 year-old was approached by a reporter from Germany daily Bild today, and offered an enigmatic response when asked if he would be replacing the sacked Brendan Rodgers at Anfield.

"There's nothing to say, neither this nor that. I'm driving home now," said Klopp, who has been on sabbatical since quitting Borussia Dortmund at the end of last season.
