West Ham captain Mark Noble insisted the side were happy to take a point from their clash with Swansea City on Sunday.

The Hammers, who have recorded impressive victories away to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season, have not won in the Premier League defeating Chelsea back on October 24.

Despite their disappointing run, Slaven Bilic’s side will be sat in eighth place on Christmas Day, following Sunday’s draw at the Liberty Stadium.

It was the Hammers’ third consecutive goalless draw on the bounce, as they struggle to replicate their early-season attacking threat following injuries to star men Dimitri Payet, Diafa Sakho and Manuel Lanzini, but Noble insists they were happy to take a point from against the Swans, who sit in the bottom three.

He told Sky Sports: "We expected them to come out and play well, it's always the case, I don't know why; a manager leaves and all of a sudden players work that little bit harder because they want to impress the new manager and play for their places.

"So we knew it was going to be tough today and we're happy with a point."

He added: "Swansea played very well in the first 25 minutes and then we sort of got into the game and had a few chances ourselves.
