Manchester United have secured qualification for the last-16 of the Champions League along with Premier League rivals Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City.

A 0-0 home draw against Wednesday night’s opponents Valencia back in October, before a 1-0 loss to Juventus at Old Trafford, left United’s European hopes looking bleak.

However, when a Juan Mata free kick and a late Leonardo Bonucci own goal saw them come from behind to win in Turin things began to turn.

A win against Swiss side Young Boys would secure qualification, though it would not come easy with Jose Mourinho having to wait in agony until an injury time finish from Marouane Fellaini sealed at 1-0 win.

With all four English teams through to the latter stages for a second consecutive season, United will be desperate to make a more significant mark on the competition this time around after losing to Sevilla in the last 16 in March.
