Standard Sport brings you the best transfer lines from around the world of football.

There may be more than two months to go before the window opens, but there are plenty of sparks flying in the transfer rumour mill at present.

And the saga which has captured the headlines today is unlikely to reach a conclusion during the winter window.

Marca are reporting that Real Madrid's Keylor Navas - who nearly completed a move to Manchester United on deadline day - will be offered a new contract at the Bernabeu after winning over the club hierarchy.

Navas's situation is likely to impact the future of David De Gea, who himself penned a new deal at Old Trafford last month, but reports in Spain suggest the United goalkeeper will remain on Real's shortlist regardless.

It is thought De Gea's performance for Spain during the recent international break only served to increase interest from Madrid.
